Paintings

It seems unnecessary to give a lengthy narrative about the work that appears on my canvases. Working mostly in acrylic, a moment, a word, an injustice, a tragedy, a joy becomes a color, a texture, a line, another language; a confluence of social, political and familial concern. I do not know the reason or the exact meaning other than I find gratitude within the process and believe that it says something. It seems a spiritual query that is somehow associated with the messes we reap upon one another and the earth, and the hope that civilization will become unstuck and get on with the business of enlightenment.
